Before and during every game on SKY, you get told to put a bet on by Ray fucking Winston, clubs are sponsored by gambling websites and promote them on shirts and websites plus Ladbrokes are the official betting partner of the FA.

The FA are cunts.

They certainly are, of that there is no doubt and has never been any argument.

But the prick has admitted betting on his own side to lose games. Can you really defend him?

To be fair, it was City before they got rich and he wasn't playing.

I don't give a fuck, look at the way gambling, spot fixing and then match throwing became prevalent in cricket.

Everyone agrees the FA are a bunch of self serving cunts, it doesn't stop them getting the odd decision right.

I remember a few of us on here discussing the overt presence of Bookmakers in football these days a few weeks ago. They are partners of the FA, players wear their names on their shirts, managers actively advertise for them, and you can't watch a game of football without them butting in with latest. odds or special offers.

Their partnership with football is insidious, and it was interesting to hear Matthew Etherington saying how their Reps always approached the younger players bith great offers to set up accounts.

He is,and has always has been ,a tit Joey Barton- but he is right about the hypocrisy and cosiness of the FA in their dealing with Bookmakers.

Five better right backs in world football, this is easy. Lahm, Alves, Ivanovic, Zabaletta and Sagna right off the top of my head. Coleman's better than him in the premier league. Not even mentioning Rafinha, Gregory Van der Wiel and the polish guy for Dortmund. It could be argued that Flanagan is better than Johnson as far as right backs go.

Rooney is the best player for Man United, not top 5, top 1. He's also from a team sheet point of view the second best England player to Steven Gerrard (although Sturridge is a better striker than him).

We'll have to agree to disagree then as none of those players you've listed I think are better then glen and Ive seen a quite a bit of all of them, ivanovic is better defensively Ill give you that but if glen stayed back as much as ivanovic im sure he'd be a lot more solid.

Spot on, JP.
