Said on MOTD he wanted to sit up there as he learned a lot.

I don't doubt the veracity of that, but he could be doing that learning on the television rather than being paid through the nose for it by Spurs.  Incredible a club with delusions of grandeur are allowing such a farce.  Long may it continue.

Quality excuse, wonder what he learned? Possibly that he is a shit manager, and that his team don't respond to him, and that screaming and throwing clothing like a baffoon, just doesn't work!,

I find it offensive that a mediocrity like Sherwood is given such a high profile role. Football is meant to a business, but it's a 'business' where appointments to top positions are being made on the basis of who happens to be standing outside the owner's office when the previous incumbent is fired. I remember the scoffing on the Guardian's website at an article suggesting a rule like that in the NFL requiring that a minority candidate always be shortlisted for a managerial appointment. This might be ridiculous - I doubt it would workable - but it can't be any worse than the lucky dip manner in which Sherwood got what is, whatever you might think of Spurs, a pretty big gig. Thank God Liverpool chose a bit more carefully, but there are no guarantees.

Sherwood was the London media darling. The only Brit manager in charge of a big PL club.

They cut him every break possible.

However if the punch up thing turns out to be true Levy will use that as an excuse to get rid, saying he's breached his contract. Then watch the media turn on him!
