Why have a 2yr loan with a transfer fee already agreed if you can then recall at any time?

Would you seriously put it past is.

Why would Atletico allow a supposed future right back of the Spanish national team to have a 2 year try before you buy with a low fee of £5 million at the end of it.

We're still failing on those 'enquiries'

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/liverpool-transfer-news-bayern-munich-reject-xherdan-shaqiri-bids-9655205.html

Liverpool have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Xherdan Shaqiri, after it was revealed that Bayern Munich have turned down several enquiries for the winger.

Shaqiri has been a bit-part player during his time in Bavaria and is believed to want a move.

But Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenige is set against the Swiss prospect moving on.

"We've had several enquiries from teams in England and Italy. I've never had a conversation because we are convinced he will have a good career with us. He must stay healthy, [but] the coach is convinced by him," he told Bayern's official website.

It's natural that there's going to be panic as we approach the start of the season, but surely we're going to sort out a striker next week. Would also be happy with Vela if we could get him, think he'd be great here.

Vela, Markovic, Can, Lovren, Lallana, Lambert, Moreno, Atletico's "taking him back if he's good" Manuel guy. Happy with that if it can be done.

Just saw this on the Premier League site :

Out
Luis Alberto
(Malaga) Loan
Michael Ngoo Released
Stephen Sama Released
Luis Suarez (Barcelona) Undisclosed
Iago Aspas (Sevilla) Loan
Andre Wisdom (West Bromwich Albion) Loan
Luis Suarez (Barcelona) Undisclosed
Divock Origi (Lille) Loan
Pepe Reina (Bayern Munich) Undisclosed

Does this mean we have an extra 75mil?

Shows how hard it is to offload average players . You buy an Aspas or Alberto and you're landed with the fuckers if they don't perform .

Vela and Firmino would make me very happy, would be very affordable, seem very achievable and thus will never be signed.

I shudder to think of who we actually end up bringing in.

I was listening to the anfield wrap today and they were talking about how there aren't many top attacking players out there. What a load of bollocks. There are shit loads of players of Suarez's level when we first bought him out there.

That's called acceptance.  You're right there are loads that could make the step up.

With Vermaelen going to Barcelona, United and to a lesser extent Arsenal have a requirement for a left-footed central defender.  The former stand an increasing chance of becoming desperate for such a player to make Van Gaal's preferred formation work, and we've seen with Fellaini and Mata what they'll pay when their backs are against the wall.

Simple idea; given potential destinations for him appear to be few and far between leaving a loan move somewhere feasible knowing us, would you take the risk of selling Agger to either if the price was tempting enough?  Especially if you could screw one of the few players they want shut of that would be of use to us out of the deal, for example Kagawa in United's case.
