Funneee Remy would do...

But they decided to pull out of the deal because of wages and because Borini refused to move.

I would expect a top European striker. But it is much worse than not signing a Top European striker, it looks like that the liars and their shitty local male slut, will NOT sign another striker at all this summer.

If Remy was signed you'd be on here giving it your fake scouser routine about Moreno. If Moreno signed you'd be lambasting the club for Sanchez going to Arsenal. If Sanchez came to us you'd be moaning about some other shit, basically the club can't win.

You don't know what you are talking about Boss of the cuntfest. I was here when Suarez was sold and said that the only realistic way to try and replace him would be by signing Sanchez for his creativity and goals complemented by Remy for his finishing and athleticism. You can look at my older posts. I was always big fan of Remy and I was NEVER convinced the liars would sign him, especially when Borini refused to move.

I'll machete his enormous cock off and beat him to death with it before shoving it up his arse.  once rigor mortis sets in, that won't be coming back out.  It'll be like a foul smelling excalibur.

Relax, Sir!

I was in Amsterdam last week and bought this in an excellent record shop...

Who says we have to go for the greatest players on the planet?? The fucking scouts should be doing their job like they did getting Suarez/Torres, just before they reach their peak. Does anyone really expect us to sign a top class forward? My problem this window won't be that we didn't sign Benzema or whoever but that we haven't signed someone who has the potential to fill the void left...yet.

Sterling and Sturridge may step up a bit but let's remember Suarez had a big hand in a lot of their goals.

Yes mate, and maybe the top top European players don't want to come here because

- those aged 25-29 have families and perhaps it's difficult to explain to their missus that they want to move the family from balmy climes and move to Northern England

- we're a fluctuating club, we were 7th and then 2nd, one swallow a summer does not make

- we've just lost Luis Suarez, ergo, they don't want to come in with the expectation of being a 31 goal striker in their first season

- we offer great wages but not insane wages, of which there are 7 clubs who can do that

So, no, I don't think major signings are realistic. We need to give reassurances to players that we're not a flash in the pan.

Hard to find anything to fault in that, top post.

Brilliant stuff.  Love the Feelgoods,  I went to see Wilko last year, and I was playing some Feelgood stuff only yesterday (though it was the post-Wilko Gypie Mayo vintage).

Offer whatever it takes to get Reus.  Dortmund either sell to us or he goes to Bayern next year for his release clause.  I'm sure they'll be over the moon with another of their players moving to Bayern.

I think he'll want to stay at his boyhood team for another year and then have the choice of anywhere in Europe. Understandable, really.

You are spot on Tyler young chap, but you forget that our current scouts are a bunch of useless fuckwits.

Less to do with boyhood club, more to do with him getting injured and Barca signing Suarez.

His release clause kicks in next year too?

Big boss man*, to be fair to nightpussy, there are plenty of reasons to be unhappy with the club this summer.

I don't even know what to think anymore. Could he be ace for us? Probably. Would it feel like we're dating the less-fit sister? Definitely.

Liverpool eyeing Cavani deal after Falcao snub

Liverpool FC's search for a new striker rumbles on after it emerged their hopes of signing Radamel Falcao have been dashed.

But the Reds are in the hunt Uruguayan hit-man Edinson Cavani, according to the player’s agent, who says they have made an approach for the Paris Saint Germain forward along with Arsenal.

Liverpool are understood to have made tentative enquiries about the availability of taking Falcao on loan this season but the club have been told that if the 28-year-old is to leave Monaco then it will be for Real Madrid.

A season-long loan fee could have cost the Reds as much as £12m and Colombian striker Falcao would have also demanded a huge salary, with some reports suggesting he earns £10m a year, tax free, playing in the principality.

And it is believed that Falcao favours a return to La Liga where he flourished at Atletico Madrid and earned his big money move to Monaco last summer – but now he wants to play for their city rivals Real.

Liverpool will keep tabs on his progress but are increasingly resigned to missing out on the South American striker.

Cavani, meanwhile, is said to be interested in a move to the Premier League and his representative claims Liverpool and Arsenal have made an approach.

It remains unclear whether the 27-year-old is on Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers’ list or not but Cavani’s agent, Claudi Anelluci, insists the Reds have enquired about his transfer.

“There has been much interest in the player during the last six months,” Claudi Anelluci is quoted in El Telegrafo as saying.

“I can confirm that Cavani heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal.

“(Cavani) Already said he would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision.

“He is not interested in money and fame; he just wants to be happy playing football.”

Liverpool have been looking to fill the void left by Luis Suarez ever since he was sold to Barcelona for £75m earlier this summer.

Rodgers, who has already brought in Rickie Lambert from Southampton for £4m, looked to have sealed a deal for Queens Park Rangers’ Loic Remy.

However, with the transfer close to being finalised, Liverpool pulled the plug following complications over his medical.

The Reds open their Premier League account a week on Sunday against Southampton and to compound their striking woes, Daniel Sturridge left their tour of the US early after picking up a hamstring injury.

Rodgers insists the England striker will be fit in time for the season’s opener, however.

It remains unlikely that Sturridge will be paired with Swansea City’s Wilfried Bony, despite constant speculation linking Liverpool with a move.

The Ivory Coast international was on a list of potential replacements for Suarez but the Reds are understood to have cooled their interest.

Bony’s buy-out-clause is believed to be £19m and his wage demands are likely to have put Liverpool off.

The future of defender Daniel Agger, meanwhile, remains uncertain. Croatian defender Dejan Lovren was signed from Southampton for £20m last week and his arrival is certain to see Agger slip further down the pecking order at Anfield.

The Danish international has already made it clear that he does not want to be relegated to the role of squad player and could look for a move away from Liverpool.

Lovren will join up with the rest of the Reds squad for the first time today as they return to training after a two-day break following the club’s US tour.

Liverpool, who have already played seven pre-season friendlies, welcome Borussia Dortmund to Anfield on Sunday for their final warm-up match before they begin their Premier League campaign.
