I just hope we don't get shafted by Swansea for Bony. I think he could get goals but I'm not sure if he's mobile enough and whether his all round play would improve us. I can see us spending something silly like 27m. I would rather Firmino or Lacazette or Bony at a decent price.

Not angry....yet, about the striker situation. The unease is growing with every passing day however, given how notoriously slow we tend to be when completing transfer business.

 

The new season is a couple of weeks away and where are we at?

 

Sturridge has a niggly hamstring injury, Borini is half out of the door, and Lambert has definitely not settled in yet.

Course they'd shaft us..they can say we had given them insufficient time to get a replacement in. They've already pretty much said they will only let him go for an "astronomical" amount.

It's weird because you would have thought that after Sanchez went to Arse, we would have been all over our next in line for striking options but we didn't. Let's hope we have someone in mind, because we can all see Lambert's not to be started, he's a plan B and a useful one but we need someone who is lightning fast and can put it in the net or we will be stifled in attack. You could see it against Milan.
