In the transfer thread on Arsenal Mania they are comparing Welbeck's move with that of Sturridge to us. They seem to think that he'll be a break out hit.

 

This ignores two things. Firstly, Sturridge had shown what he could do when played in his proper position while on loan at Bolton. Secondly, Welbeck has been given numerous starts by United in the CF position, and he's just not a prolific goal scorer. Yes he works hard, but so does Lee Cattermole.

Saw that.  Hope it's true.  Mancs I know have been creaming themselves over him signing all evening.  Would be funny as fuck if it went tits up now

Hmn, would I prefer them to have a crocked player for 350k per week and run the risk of him being great or just fail.
