Clear Cut Chances created:

Suarez       22

Coutinho    13

Sterling      11

Gerrard      9

Sturridge    8

Henderson 7

Lallana       5

I think that number goes up if/when he plays for us. I'm not completely sold on the move (esp if it's 20m+), but I think it's positive and he'll fit well with the squad.

Assuming that deal goes through, I really hope we make several major upgrades in the back. RB/LB (or both), a DM, and maybe even another CB if FSG feel like spending.

Mattia De Sciglio looks like he's turning into something - made a bit of a breakthrough at Milan this year and would be a great buy. His contract runs through 2016 (maybe a January window buy then), he's only 21 and looks a lot more developed than Flanno. I hope we get someone quality, sell Johnson, get Enrique back, and continue to play Flanagan at RB/LB - we're not far away here.

Also, I'm sure Varane would cost some silly money but I wouldn't complain...immediate upgrade on everyone we have at CB.

Are there any decent DM options out there? De Jong's almost 30, but I'd love to see someone who doesn't give a shit about getting forward and lives for the tackle.

Thats amazing, somehow Lallana has created less clear cut chances than he has assists

These stats mean literally nothing.

If Henderson was to take the ball round 8 players, pass it across goal for Suarez on a complete open net and Suarez puts it wide - he doesn't get an assist.  There's much more to football than stats.

How did players ever get purchased in the 60s before they recorded how many interceptions a midfielder made in his own half?

We bid £20m didn't we?

Somewhere around that figure mate, but as I recall it was said to meet his release clause as it was then; they knocked us back and then he signed a new contract with this higher release clause Chelsea are now said to have triggered.

Has there been a player linked in the history of the club that was meet with universal approval?

If we were linked with Messi you'd hear some people moaning he is injury prone, one footed and has no premiere league experience. I cannot believe anyone who has seen Lallana for more than 5 minutes wouldn't be over the moon we've put in a bid.

Forum opinion seems to be universal in thinking he's a good player.

The idea that everyone would be over the moon after limited viewing may be overselling his ability somewhat.

After the progress Henderson and Sterling have made this season, I can't second guess a decision to try and buy Lallana even though I'm not convinced it's the correct route.

There's a strategy we're pursuing here and it very nearly worked, just as it very nearly saw the shite overtake arsenal. There's something to be said for buying good lads with potential rather than simply names with skill.

Can just go on record and say I wouldn't moan if we were linked to Messi
