Look I’m just gonna say it. I can take the abuse. That Gavin & Stacey episode on Xmas day was brilliant. I can’t stand Corden one bit but Pam & Mick, Rob. Brydon and Dawn & Pete are great. I was dreading it. I ended up loving it.

Glad I watched it but very disappointing for me.

Uncle Bryn was and still is the unfunniest wimpy faced twat of a character, can't stand him.

Dave coaches steals the show.

Dawn and Pete decent characters too.

All been done before and glad it's finished.

I've had loads of TV time this Christmas, which has been great. I've just finished the Day of the Jackal. Aside from finding the lead bird really fucking irritating and the cowboy walk on redmayne really weird, I thought it was really good. It was fast moving, so you didn't get much chance to think about any plot holes, well made and the story was different enough from the original (from what I recall reading the book, was a similar assassin trying to kill Charles de Gaul, but it was 40 years ago when I read that), that I didn't feel I knew the story. But that could be as much to do with my memory I suppose. All in all great TV, I hope there's more to come. 8.5/10.

Bad tidings. Bah humbug, shite.

Seen Lee Mack live a few times and he's really good and edgy.

Just seems to have sold out for the damp tv dollar now.

I watched it Xmas eve and thought it was shite too, but seemed appropriate Xmas eve viewing. I like chris mccausland too, but aside from a couple of blind jokes, I don't think he added anything either.  I reckon about 5/10.

The Patient

Nice idea, just a bit lethargic and dull. Good acting, looks slick, but I don't think it needed 4 hrs to delve into such a boring serial killer. Carrell's great though, and the Jewish angle felt fresh.

6/10

Probably a couple of episodes too long,as usual.

I struggled with it first couple of episodes, I didn't particularly like Carrell's character and it looked like it was going to be high concept drama, which I normally dislike. But once I got into it, I didn't find it dull or too long for a minute, which is something, since it was pretty sparse and dark.

On the other hand, it is not something I would be rushing to watch again, like you would with the best stuff. Overall, I found it way better than most recent things.

Part way into season two of rogue heroes at the moment and it's excellent.

"Paddy, I'd like to rejoin the SAS. Everyone in my new unit is sane and they treat every challenge logically. It's really unnerving."

"I have to go rescue a donkey, then have lunch with the Mafia. But after that I'll see what I can do."

Traitors. Guilty pleasure - love it.

Followed by Rogue Heroes, which is as good as series 1 was, and that was excellent.

Both 10 from me.

Gonna catch up at the weekend?

Any talent on it?

Elen gone already.

Absolute disgrace.

I've seen the first two episodes but for others who haven't, spoiler right there!

It's a great format, I love watching it. The Aussie ones are good also, not watched the US version as I imagine they'd be pretty annoying.

Conan O’Brien must go.

Conan turns up unannounced at random fans houses around the world who called into his podcast.

Some serious laugh out loud moments that didn’t go appreciated by my Mrs when she was trying to get asleep on the flight from hell.

Anyway, I love this fella and you should too.

10/10. highly recommended

It used to be on telly every Bank Holiday in some version or other.

His podcast is amazing. I assume there will be quite a gap after his parents died
