Episode 6 has just been released and is good too. I do find the wife's character annoying as fuck though, and there must be better examples of country music than those used on the series, shirley?

I've just watched episode 6. Quickly established itself as top class this.

Day of the jackal episode 10:

Spoilers for those not upto date.

Not the best episode which was a shame. Now I hate car chases and the one in this backs me up. Any half decent feds would have easily nicked him there. Would have been better seeing him make it out in a more elaborate way than that.

Someone else already posted about the gay scenes. Totally unnecessary and went against character. Could have easily killled him there after getting him back to his flat and took his id, pass etc. Also the family scenes with Bianca. Who gives a shit. They’d have been better having her as a brutal loner who was a match for hunting him down. Pandering shite to no one instead.

Anyway, I got the feeling there was 2 endings made for this and they’ve seen how its been received and gone with what we ended up with. IMO, the original ending would have seen Bianca being raised from the dead to be the one to smash into him when he was heading the airport and killing them both.

Will defo watch series 2 though.

7/10 for this episode 8/10 overall.

The brilliant episode 9 boosting this score

Good post. The car chase scenes were ludicrous.

I'm reserving judgement on Landman, only 4 episodes in tbf. It's not bad but I nearly jibbed it off when Billy Bob started his polemic on the green energy hoax. He's playing to his target audience I guess.

Yellowstone is/was great but Sheridan seems to be going through the motions a bit here.

I feel like this is already a more enjoyable show than Yellowstone. The last three seasons of that were really going through the motions. It was the same thing over and over.

How many handbrake turns can one man do at 5 mph. What happened to the helicopter that was following him at the start of the scene? It wasn’t seen again.

Yellowstone went from mildly entertaining to absolute nonsense drivel. A bad soap opera. No wonder Costner had enough.

Taylor Sheridan should thank his lucky stars that Denis Villeneuve directed Sicario.

Agreed.

I jibbed it off when it became a soap opera with Beth and her brother, whatever his name was.

Looks good, but turned shit.

The latest Strike series is starting tonight on BBC. Will be handy for me as I couldn't finish this book ' The Ink Black Heart ' as it was written in the form of a chat forum, and I just couldn't follow it,  but am interested in seeing what happens to the characters ( particularly Robyn ( Holliday Grainger )

Yeah, pretty wank that part.

Thought the writing had been spot on when it came to jackal scenes up till that point. They knew how to crank up the tension when it looked like it was gonna go belly up. When he’s in the roof of the auditorium planning on where to line up his shot and the roof starts moving was brilliantly done.

It's almost like his film scripts were only a part of a creative process with rewrites and doctoring, whereas on TV, it's an Alexandre Dumas-like factory churning out stories rushed straight to production line.

Probably very late to the party on this one, but I just shelled out for all 5 Seasons of ‘Gomorra’ on Prime. My daughter recommended it and so far - on season 1, episode 4 - it’s really good. 9/10.

Just finished watching it yesterday before it was removed from Now TV. Thought it was brilliant. Now watching  Banshee which is so bad it’s fantastic to watch.
