I thought Start Ups was good but the sex scenes were awful. Not the sort of sex scenes that make you want to smash one off but more like watching two people you know fucking, couldn't wait for them to end.

In fact, you don't really get good sex scenes anymore, they're probably all Directed by women or something these days. Shower of bastards.

I don't really see the point of sex scenes these days. They don't add anything at all, back when porn was hard to find I can see why they thought the need for something "sexy" was needed to try and get publicity or tempt people into watching it.

But considering the majority of the population now carries something in their pocket that has access to more filth than anyone could ever possibly need then I really don't see the point now.

Hit & Run - a decent enough thriller set between New York and Israel involving the CIA and Mossad and various dodgy covert shenanigans. Starts very well and then dips a little, but worth watching.

I watched two episodes of it but found it slow and a little bit boring.

He-Man Revelations Part 1: Don't understand the anger against this. Well actually I do, as it's a load of angry men who just wanted to see He-Man flex his muscles. A decent first 5 episodes that start to pick up from around the third one on with some genuine emotion. 7/10

But a lot of these hoity-toity actresses don't want to do porn films, citing little things like not wanting to be 'ass-raped by sweaty, pot-bellied cocaine addicts' as reasons. How else are we going to see these precious little princesses in the nude?

Totally agree. Pure titilation and nothing more.

I've been catching up on some shows lately,  not all new, with a few quite old.

Dr Death - good cast and interesting story based on a spinal surgeon killing maiming his patients. (based on true events). 8/10

Condor - kind of low budget Jack Ryan type of thing. But really enjoyable and they're not afraid to bump people off which keeps you on your toes. 2 seasons, not sure if there'll be a 3rd, but I hope so. 7.5/10

Deep state, 2 seasons - another low budget spy thing. Brits as well as yanks. Still a decent watch though 7/10

The White Lotus - one episode to go on this one, an HBO mini series based on a story at an Hawaiian hotel.  The fella running the hotel has a kind of a basil Fawlty vibe to him. 8/10 so far.

City on the Hill season 2- 8/10. It's weird both seasons of this I have really struggled early in the season but have been gutted when I have finished it.

Another really easy one.

Nothing special but an enjoyable coffee break show or last thing at night if your wife has a headache and/or hates you.

Kim’s Convenience.

A sitcom detailing the trials and tribulations of a South Korean family running, you guessed it, a convenience store in Canada.

Some averagely funny moments along the way.

I’m probably not selling it, but it is what it is and I’m quite enjoying it.

I’ve also started doing the occasional ‘sneak attack’ on the kids which is fun (for me).

It can be found on Netflix.

6.5/10

Just told the wife I am divorcing her if she so much as even thinks about watching another turgid documentary about Henry the Eighth or , in particular ,  Anne Boleyn. It feels like there are two new ones every fucking week populated by boring , condescending historians guessing about things they have not a jot of frigging evidence for.

Started watching a German thing on Netflix called ‘How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast)’ last night. I think it’s based on a true story, a couple of nerdy kids deciding to sell E’s on the dark web. It’s a nice easy watch although probably aimed at younger people but I enjoyed it and it should tide me over for a few nights.

Ghosts  8/10

Watched all 3 series over 2 days with the wife and daughter.

Very, very easy watch and light comedy. Good characters and they all grow on you. Some laugh out loud moments/set pieces as well.

The yanks are remaking it soon, I think it's one of the network stations starting in October.

Yeah the daughter told me this a few times.

Just watched the trailer;

Too American for my liking. Not that I judged it before I saw the trailer.

The Riots 2011 - One Week in August (BBC IPlayer)

8/10. Brutal, gut-wrenching and well put together. Lots of contribution from police, victims and protestors/rioters. Still can't believe Cameron stayed on holiday with his trotters up, while London burned.
