Currently watching Cobra Kai series 3. Johnny is fantastic in it, carries the whole thing.

Was interesting to see that the Japanese characters all looked about 30 years older than Daniel.

Been catching up on a few box sets I missed out on as had a bit of time off.

Normal People - 8/10 really enjoyed it

The Last Dance - 8/10 really enjoyed it

Banshee - 8/10 this seemed a bit ropey at first but as it’s progressed I’m actually getting into it now.

Also finished the Serpent last night. I enjoyed it.

Mad what you could get away with back in the 70s.

Get yourself on the US Election thread. It's not that sane now.

Can't pay we'll take it away is intense at times, don't know how they do that job. Firstly because it's horrible kicking people out of their homes and secondly the amount of abuse they get.

Doom Patrol - Season 1. Bit late to the party on this but 8/10. Absolutely bonkers and very enjoyable, great characters and the girl who plays Crazy Jane is an unbelievable actor and absolutely gorgeous. Recommended.

She has quite a few different personalities, not sure if bailiff was amongst them.

She could certainly confiscate my semen.

The Serpent - 8 dead hippies out of 10 for me.

8 hour long episodes on BBC iPlayer.

The true story of Charles Sobraj, a French conman and killer set in Asia in the mid 70’s.
Mental how he got away with his insane stunts for so long.

That's usually the most important thing. Reviews and viewer ratings have been known to be wrong or unfair.

It seems to be doing well, so it would appear I'm not the only person enjoying it.

Big Sky
ABC/Darko Sikman
The series premiere of David E. Kelley’s Big Sky has surged in multiplatform+35 viewing. Over 35 days of viewing on linear and digital platforms, the premiere episode has reached 14.7 million Total Viewers, making it ABC’s most-watched debut since The Good Doctor in September 2017.

Big Sky also scored in the key Adults 18-49 demo, rising to a 3.97 rating with 35 days of multiplatform viewing. It marked ABC’s highest-rated series debut in the demo since A Million Little Things in September 2018, and is nearly six times the premiere episode’s initial Live+Same Day rating (0.68). In addition, the ABC drama picked up an additional 10.5 million viewers over its initial Live+Same Day average (4.2 million) with delayed viewing on linear and digital platforms.

The series, created by Big Littles Lies’ Kelley and based on C.J Box’s book, follows private detective Cassie Dewell, played by Kylie Bunbury, and ex-cop Jenny Hoyt, played by Katheryn Winnick, who join forces to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. But when they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken.

The series also stars Brian Geraghty as Ronald Pergman, Dedee Pfeiffer as Denise Brisbane, Natalie Alyn Lind as Danielle Sullivan, Jade Pettyjohn as Grace Sullivan, Jesse James Keitel as Jerrie and Valerie Mahaffey as Helen Pergman.

Produced by 20th Television in association with A+E Studios, Big Sky is exec produced by Kelley, Ross Fineman, Matthew Gross, Paul McGuigan, Box and Gwyneth Horder-Payton.

Finished The Wire yesterday. Really enjoyed it but I didn't think it was quite as good as some of you make out. Still really enjoyable though.

7.5/10 for the whole lot.

Just watched the first 4 episodes of the new The Stand and found myself quite enjoying it.

It's not without its flaws though; the casting is poor, the dialogue poor, the acting fucking awful in places, also they shouldn't have fucked with the the time line and just left it linear.

And Flagg is less scary than Tom Cullen.

I watched 15 minutes of the first episode and switched off. Rubbish.

Yet, conversely, Chozen clearly hadn't needed to visit the woeful hair transplant clinic that Ralph Macchio had been to.

Cobra Kai S1-S3 - was a little non-plussed by the pilot so I never watched it when it first came out but this show is just brilliant. Just for sheer fun and nostalgia this absolutely nails it. Zabka is absolutely ace in this as Johnny Lawrence, who'd have thought you'd root for him after being the first bad guy. Just brilliant 9/10
