I watched the credits of Game of Thrones.

FUCKING WANK.

I threw the TV out of the fucking window.

I don't watch GOT as its not my type of show but from the odd episode that I've watched because my lads were watching it in the same room I'd be ignorant to say it's not entertaining at the very least. Hannibal,on the other hand is superb right across the board. I don't really understand thinking it's crap unless you want poor acting and a dodgy script and explosions everywhere because it deflects from weaknesses elsewhere? I think it's foolish to dismiss Hannibal as it's a superior tv show.

I genuinely have no idea how somebody could watch 30 minutes of Hannibal and then dismiss it as atrocious. To each his own, and all that, everybody gets different things from different shows; I just don't understand how Hannibal gets called atrocious.

The acting, writing, script, set, camerawork, everything I thought in that first 30 minutes was utter dross.

It looked to me like something that had been made by a bunch of film students with a hundred grand to spend. I don't think that Danish boy can act either which doesn't help so I switched it off, I have better things to do with my time than stick with things that I think look rubbish. Maybe it turned out great but I'll never know.

I've never disagreed with a post more.

I sat trough four episodes, which is 3 hours of my life, before giving up on it, to try and understand what people see in this. Initially, I was prepared to watch to the end of the S1 before forming an opinion, out of respect to all the rave reviews but I just cannot take it anymore, sorry.

I would not mind the ridiculous storylines if they actually created something or attempted to create something intriguing once you throw any pretence of plausibility away since it is clearly not set in any realistic universe, but they don't, it's just psychological mumbo jumbo, 50 murders and 3 or 4 serial killers  in the first four 40-minute episodes alone. Acting is surprisingly bad and dialogue is so horrible that I began laughing at the banality of most exchanges, is that what the creators were after, making some kind of grotesque macabre comedy? How can you sit through 39 episodes of this uninteresting, shallow characters,  bizarrely vile serial killers which appear for five minutes only to be caught in some half explained way half an hour later. And how many more times can you show the expressionless creepy face of Mads Mikkelsen cut to cooking cut to serving food to someone, presumably human flesh because he plays Hannibal Lector, before it gets tired? And they have to, because, once you take this out, there is nothing left. No, I'm wrong, once you take that irritating atonal music out, there is nothing left apart from serial killer porn.

Interesting. I think all those things are some of the best examples of it. Ah well.

I'm pretty negative towards tv programmes generally, I'll happily sack something off very early doors if I think it's going to be a waste of my time.

Unusually for my missus, she agreed with me that time, often she'll stick with it & watch it when I'm at work. Maybe it just got off to a bad start or something.

Obviously we see it quite differently, mate. I think it’s wonderful with top notch story telling, acting and cinematography. Rates in my top few shows.

I’m not even taking the piss about the last page of this thread but I sacked that off after ten minutes. The fella was dull as fuck, I didn’t like his accent and the Pablo Escobar taxi ride was shite.

Yeah it is pretty shite on reflection.

I often sack a new programme off before the opening credits have finished.
