The heat had me sitting in watching some TV and I've finished a couple of shows off.

We own this city. - I hadn't realised this was a true story till the end. I found it quite depressing to watch as there was no light in the show anywhere. I realise loads of people will have loved it. But for me only a 6.5/10 as I just found it too depressing despite its fair share of lapdancing.

Something about Pam. This is another true story based on a wrongful murder conviction starring Renee zellweger. Despite it depicting murder, it was quite the opposite to We Own this City in as much as it took a almost comical look at what happened with both the murderer and the police & DA office. I found it quite enjoyable though and rattled through 4 episodes last night to finish. 7.5/10.

Control Room - 3 part drama on BBC1 finished last night. A bit mad, a bit of a "Responder" vibe - an ambulance control room lad gets involved in something past his pay grade - not terribly convincing but fun in parts. 5/10.

Me three. Bridges and Lithgow guarantee,at minimum, some great entertainment.

Bridges has nailed the knarly old tough fucka as his own now.

Bird in it must have the bandiest legs ever.

But as with a lot of these shows I do find myself asking, "is America really like this in real life?"

The Old Man. 8/10.

Jeff Bridges playing mean, moody ex cia tough guy. Really enjoying it.

For an old man he fucks quite a few up and realistically gets twatted a lot, but he has skills.

It's ok , started off well , but a little too far fetched.

Weeds , series 2 - few good guffaws.

A nice easy watch is Trying. A sitcom on Apple TV about a couple going through the adoption process.

Stars Rafe Spall and Esther Smith (gorgeous) with support from Ophelia Lovibond (very gorgeous) and Sian Brooke (a bit annoying but gorgeous).

Other than Rafe and the gorgeous women the rest of the supporting cast has some very well known faces which probably counts for something. As does the fact it’s about to see its third series premiered.

I’ve enjoyed it.

7/10.

The Bear - 8/10

Only 30 minute episodes and encapsulates the frantic nature of working in a kitchen. Good characters and acting, plenty of potential moving forward to build upon the foundations of a very good first season.

Have you seen the film Boiling Point with Stephen Graham?
