The Girl Before. BBC iPlayer. I watched all four parts back-to-back. Average throughout apart from the ending, which was poor. I think I might be in love with Jessica Plummer.

Hahaha, fucking hell Tony, things must be bad if you are binge watching something average!

Its Always Sunny. This series only had 8 episode.

2 were good (episodes 3 and 4) the other 6 were abysmal

Yeah, I wasn't too fussed on it this season. Although the meatball scene was a particular favourite of mine.

Haha. I don’t read reviews before watching things, as I like to make up my own mind. Also, I’m a stubborn bastard, so once I start watching something, I almost always see it through to the end.

I find there's so much to watch, if a show hasn't grabbed me by the end of the pilot episode, I usually just fuck it off. In fact if by 20 mins I'm not into it I'll fuck it off, but I will give it another go if people say it's worth it. But if something doesn't shape up in the episode that was written to sell the show, I just accept it's not for me.

The Wheel of Time - 6.5/10

It kept me interested throughout but it was just fair to middling. It definitely did a lot of things on a budget for the first season and hopefully with Bezos giving them a few billion for further series they'll be able to improve the quality of the show even if they're stuck with some really dodgy actors.

Alma's Not Normal- 9/10. Fucking fantastic series. Hilarious, heart-rending and politically devastating both to the Tory- Lib Dem cuts and the heavy-handedness of socialised, tick box care. Loved it.

But, fuck. The only ways out of her life aren't something that should ever be anyone should ever be forced into. That they are is fucking appalling.

First three episodes of the Wheel Of Time.

Four Hobbits, one of whom has a destiny, leave their home to avoid destruction coming to their door and flee towards a place of safety, pursued by a black rider (and some Uruk Hai), narrowly escaping by jumping on a ferry across a river…

High production values but too predictable and a bit pedestrian.

Episodes 4 & 5 bore some promise, but episodes 7 & 8 gave us Moria, Helm’s Deep, Mirkwood and Barad-dûr. ‘Battle’ scene was crap as well.

Overall 4/10 fantasy cliche’s.

Succession S1 ep10

Sensational acting from Jeremy Strong in this episode.

Apart from Frank & Geri, I don’t think I’ve ever watched a show where I’ve wanted to strangle every character who has a speaking role

Hope the fuck off’s from Logan don’t become a catchphrase as I’m already starting to roll my eyes every time he says it now.

Glad we got back into this after taking a break after ep5 although reading the last few comments about series 3 I’m wondering if it’s worth persisting with now.

Give series 3 a go and make up your own mind. I was a bit disappointed but that's just me.

Too late. He says it plenty. He also has some proper killer lines though.

After 2 years away I now realise just how shit uk tv is.

So many fucking adverts and give us your money.

Those old enough will remember moaning about repeats especially when the Christmas schedules where announced.

I know it's not new but fuck me the bulk of sky is just repeats.

I can't really remember the last time I sat down and watched anything on UK TV for any length of time. Maybe when this hot bird was on Come Dine With Me one work afternoon. And even that was a repeat. I did find it funny when there were objections to selling off C4. That channel's been fucking shite for 20 years.

Ha ha, well worth a watch.

I can get all uk tv live or wait 2 days and no fuckin adverts.

When you see how many "give £2/4/6/8/10 a month appeals there are, it tells me some people could be getting mighty rich.

It's like Bold Street on the small screen.

Wheel of time s1 -  5/10 really below par rosemund pike does a good job but some of the acting is very poor, the storyline (not read the books so not sure how much it diverges) in the show is kind of very much standard fantasy fair. The thing that pisses me off though is that this looked like it had real potential, looking at the characters it could have been epic with better execution but some seemingly lazy writing and nonsensical character decisions bring it down. Just kind of disappointing all round. I’ve heard lots of negative fan reaction and I’m curious to see what they’ve changed as the books are very highly rated.

witcher s2 - 6/10 preferred the first season,  but this had more back story and building of the wider world which was good but as with WoT suffers with some poor writing that make some of the characters seem very dumb (the other witchers especially). Henry Cavill does a good job as Gerhalt but this has Netflix cancellation without a satisfactory conclusion all over it if S3 is the same.

I'm 6 or 7 episodes into yellowjackets. I keep thinking "this is going to get good now" and then it just seems to go stale. I don't enjoy shows that flick back and forth between 2 different times. For once, it might be relevant for the story development, but it just does my head in. So far, it's a 6/10 but it feels like it could easily be an 8.

Over the last few days watched the Witcher s2. It was decent enough, but felt like a holding pattern. Feels like it's trying desperately to go epic, where I'd be much happier with the monster-of-the-week formula (with a larger story piecing together in the background) that they went with last time around. Wasting a good chunk with the mages and carrying the pretence of political intrigue is dragging the whole thing down (the final scene was hilarious, they really thought that was going to be a big rug-pull moment...). Thought the girl playing Ciri did really well this time around.

The Witcher: S2. 8/10. Blazed through it and really enjoyed it. Everything the Wheel Of Time isn’t. Unlike the cleverly plotted and converging strands of the first series this is more linear storytelling, Does mostly set up

S3, but does it in a good way. More asap, please.

I’d roger Anya Chalotra senseless.
