Yet still the best thing on Amazon. The point is that Amazon Prime is overwhelmingly shit, and Netflix is becoming worse too lately,in my experience. These algorithms they use are absolute wank.

We’re on the final series of Sons of Anarchy then going straight onto The Sopranos as she’s never seen it.

I watched it again quite recently. The way they finished it was shite. It was brilliant tIll they rushed it all through in that final season

It could have been so much more instead ending it the way they did. Much like Lost, Game of Thrones etc, you felt more than a bit cheated.

Straight up and down was a brilliant choice for a theme tune though.

Bosch was easy watching and very enjoyable. Hardly top end stuff though.

I'll take easy watching and enjoyable in a world of utterly shit tv shows. The bar is quite low these days.

I coursed have made a list of things that annoyed me about the show but life is too short, not everything will hit my buttons. I imagine the books will be better as they generally are.

Just started something from AMC called "Kevin Can Fuck Himself". It's weird. It's about a woman in her mid 30s who's been married for 10 years to a fella who's a bellend. Whe.n he's in the scene, it's like some 80s US comedy with canned laughter  and all that. Then when he leaves (or she leaves) It changes complete tone and is about her wanting out of this marriage. The 1st episode (probably introducing the characters) spends a bit too much time in comedy mode. The 2nd is more about the girl (that's as many as I've watched so far). It's different and kind of intruiging but I'm certainly giving it more of a go. I don't much like it though while it's in "comedy" mode as it's a bit irritating and not funny.

It’s got her from Schitts Creek in hasn’t it? The fit sister. I haven’t seen it, but it’s on my list for that reason alone.

My mate’s seen it. He likes it but said it would be better without the comedy bit.

I don't know schitts creek, I couldn't get into it. The lead bird is called Annie Murphy. She'd get it like.

Six part documentary on Ernest Hemingway on BBC4. I’ve only watched the first one but it’s interesting and a good watch.

I know the books and the myth of the man but this looks like it’s going to be a more rounded and layered portrait of one of the literary greats.

Too early for a rating but it’s promising.

Have you not started Rectify yet? I think you'd really like it.

I watched the first two episodes of Rectify today. As recommended by @VladimirIlyich and seconded by @Elite.

A promising start and one that could turn into a really good show as the story develops and I get a handle on the different characters. The central ones are certainly layered, so I’m not sure who’s side I’m supposed to be on yet. Maybe that’s the point.

One thing is for certain. Amantha and Tawney are very easy on the eye.

I've got it on now, nearing the end. I loved the first 3 seasons but this 4th season is some of the best drama I've ever seen. Wonderful show.

Just watched Gold Rush: Our Race To Olympic Glory on BBC One.

The first of a three part documentary series about GB's fairly disastrous showing at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics and how it acted as a catalyst for the adoption of a more professional approach for the GB Olympic team, with a helping hand from John Major and the inception of the national lottery, and ultimately led to the bid for the London Olympics.

Decent. Kelly Holmes didn't have much luck in her early Olympic competitions!

Anybody watch this true crime 5 parter on Sky, Murder at The Cottage?

Any good? Worth 5 hours of my life or just left with a load of annoying question marks?

Enjoyed it , elevated by the fact that all of the actual protagonists ( bar the murder victim obviously ) appear themselves which is unusual. Loads of twists and turns. Could probably have shaved an hour or so.

( Didn't look properly at Tony's post at first and thought he was suggesting this was heartwarming stuff , and was about to call the Garda )

Rectify - 9/10

Finally finished it all now. I've never connected as much with a group of characters like I have with this show, which is strange as it's set in fucking Georgia!

Daniel was brilliant as the protagonist but I thought Teddy stole every scene he was in and his arc was my favourite, he was a deeply flawed, often cuntish bloke but I could resonate with him the most.

If you've never seen it, get it watched as it's a wonderful show. I'll shut up about it now as I realise I've been polluting the thread about it!
