What We Do in the Shadows - 8.5/10 just as good as the movie. Some brilliantly stupid moments in there from creepy paper to crossed fingers and a garden full of vulvas. A funny twist in the final episode too.

Been really enjoying it too. All three leads are stellar but I've always enjoyed watching Matt Berry; the scene with the cats in the animal control shelter was brilliant.

I have tried to watch it but having seen the documentary,The Central Park Five,I know it wont be anywhere as good. Also,I hate Felicity Huffman and she's in it.

Not enough subtitles?

That first episode was harrowing. I really try to stay away from shows like this as it just makes me feel angry and almost helpless. But that was some opening episode.

Haha, they are brilliant. There are just so many outstanding moments throughout, can't wait for the second season.

Couldn't get the kid into college but wouldn't return the money?

Ray Donovan. 6/10

Started off promising but became hard going after series 2. Weak story lines which were quite ludicrous at times. Far too much shit crammed around the good and funny parts.

Anyone tried 'Perpetual Grace, LTD' yet? Trailer looks good and the cast is great. Jimmi Simpson, Ben Kingsley, Jackie Weaver, Kurtwood Smith, Luis Guzman, Damon Herriman, Timothy Spall and Terry O'Quinn. Synopsis below:

Quote

Perpetual Grace, LTD follows "James, a young grifter, as he attempts to prey upon Pastor Byron Brown, who turns out to be far more dangerous than he suspects."

By the fella who created 'Patriot' for Amazon and that is a very good show.

"NOS4A2"

On AMC.

A cross between Stephen King and an after-school special. One cliche after another.

It's got Spock in it though, and I think he's a good actor, so I'll be watching the second episode, on faith.

Leonard Nimoy's dead, mate.

Last episode of "Chernobyl".

A tad preachy at times, perhaps, but I thought that a brilliant explanation and presentation of what happened.

Effective epilogue as well.

The whole series is a very difficult watch, but an excellent production. Although its very sad, its up there on the "must watch" for me.

Just watched it now, thought it was superb- it actually explained it better than the Wikipedia page. Absolutely astonishing series, best thing I've watched in years- 10/10.

I also finished off Good Omens, which was thoroughly enjoyable. Great stuff- 9/10. On to The Virtues now, but I'm in too good a mood after the weekend to watch it for a few days...

When I saw the ads for it I wondered how they would tell the story in just 5 hours.

But I thought it was perfect.

Yep- I think the only thing they gave relatively short shrift to was the building of the original containment and then its later replacement, but both happened well after Legasov's death, so I guess it was best to stick to what they did and briefly cover it in the epilogue. Let's just hope there's never a sequel...

When they see us, true life mini series on Netflix.

A group of boys go out into Central Park and are framed for a vicious rape they didn't do. Police interviews are in a similar vein to how Brendan Dassey was set up in Making a murderer

To be honest, I'd never heard of the "Central Park 5" and given the huge miscarriage of justice, thought it would've made the news here.

Really enjoyed it and blasted through it in one sitting. 8/10

Really felt sorry for the kids and want to see some justice against the wankers that bullied them for over 40 hours just so they could close a case.

Quite fancy this. I too had no idea about it but read the story the other day after it being released.
