I'm resigned to them building across the road - what I do object to is them making me jump through hoops to build the back of my house in a style which will bear no relation to the houses they want to build on the field. Seriously, I had to spend a fortune getting it architected to a style that no other house for miles has. I wasn't building a fucking turret, I just wanted to built it to more closely reflect the backs of houses next door. Oh no, they said, I had to have it resembling some sort of cuckoo clock with a really messy roof profile. Weeks, not even months later, they've binned all of those rules.. I will be seeking financial recompense.

This won't be affordable housing; they're actually building that down the road, and I have no problem with it - in fact I supported the application because there are plenty of people working around here that genuinely cannot afford to live around here, even in rented accomm. This is greedy developers giving backhanders to greedy council officials to build pits of despair which will no doubt be marketed as executive houses and flogged for £750k a pop. No extra schools, the nearest shop is 2 miles away and no extra facilities. It's a complete scam and people are creaming off fortunes. Not just here of course, it's happening everywhere. Call me a nimby if you like, but it's a fact that it is a scam, and these cunts are going to bum me for a second time.

Open a shop, you'll make your £80k in no time. Oh and you've got a spar £80k you can buy your own coffee if you come to Staines.
