For the record, and its not very hip of me I know, but I rarely approve of fruit in savoury dishes. Bit of a traditionalist in that way. Still, horses for courses, one mans meat etc.

And I'm a bit like that but I had some at friend's. And it really works...with a dollop of double cream and chives, from the garden

Tell you what fucks me off about burgers, or should I say some of the wrong un's who eat them, who on God's green earth eats a beef burger with a knife and Fork ?! The absolute nadir of poofterishness.

You should treat your beefburger like you treat a beautiful woman, grab them buns firmly with both hands and tear right in there.

What about a perfectly round fillet steak in a burger bun. Surely the perfect posh burger? But when does a burger stop being a burger?

What an abomination. Part of the joy of a piece of meat is its individual character. We're not talking conveyor belt food, like those perfectly round egg mcmuffin things, here. Well, I'm not. And the bun had better not be those uniformly round, shiny on top, disintegrate to mush as soon as they come into contact with the other ingredients excuses for bread either.

Mathewbet1, we could never get along

There's no great technological, faceless, sinister, oppressive, post-industrial revolutionary, conveyor belt chicanery to an Egg Mcmuffin, Champ.

They just cook the egg in one of those metal rings I think.

The ring doesn't make the egg any different from other eggs in any way other than shape.

Well, apart from the fact that they cook the living shit out of it.

There is that.

Oh, and I know about the egg ring thingies. They just shout mass catering and the white boiled to rubber to me. I dont get why anyone would want to force an egg into a shape like that

Theres a couple of different gourmet burger chains over here, to be honest I find it all a bit overpriced for what it is. Very rarely eat a burger that isn't home made these days. This here is barbecuin' country, people.

Smokin' !

Lockhart in 2016 for me.

Counting down the days.................
