They kept it subtle rather than explosive but at the same time, it's hard to understand why certain people did what they did when the motive didn't appear to be strong enough. They've also got a way into a third series because there is one loose end that still hasn't been tied up.

Excellent show, good ending that answered a lot of questions but also left the viewer to make up their own minds on some of the events.

Definitely going to be a third series with the revelation about Dot.

Decent review of the series by Jim Shelley who used to work for The Mirror but is now working for The Mail. Contains spoilers, so don't read it if you haven't watched the last episode.

That last one is a great episode. Yes there are plotholes and bizarre actions from certain individuals, plus a fair amount of open-and-shut assumptions based on unconfirmed evidence but they've made it all so damn watchable it doesn't matter

As with last week's episode, this is well into its stride now. It's ironic that AC12 have to be so by-the-book because a Popeye Doyle or Harry Callahan sort of loose cannon detective would be just the thing to get them results.

Haha. Something else completely took my attention last night. Will get to it over the weekend

Totally agree with all of that.
