Mind you, at least 50% of my sizeable DVD collection is still in cellophane wrappers. I prefer to sit there and moan about the lack of decent television available on Freeview.

Get it watched Tony.

Good points. Fairly made

I once met Burnside. Well the actor, he spoke at our planning committee. Dead posh, not one use of the word slag. Such a let down

Had a pint with him myself years ago. Was a really nice bloke but like you say, dead posh.

Their powers of deduction are unreal. Kate just decides to follow the police car and Arnott knows the drugs test was set up. Where is it meant to be based too I always thought down south but Steve likes to drive all the way up to Liverpool to say a few words. I like the show but if a dragon and a wizard appear next week it wouldn't stretch believability that much more than it already does.

I've been pissing my missus off by constantly impersonating him. Today I said to her "I'm interested in one thing and one thing only.. would you like a cup of tea" she's at the point now of "seriously"

What makes you think that 'Scouse' woman lives in Liverpool? They never say which city the show is based in and, given the range of different accents all the characters (coppers and crims) have, you'd never be able to pin it down anyway. Location-wise, I think they film a lot of it in Belfast but get exterior footage from a lot of different places.

I'm sure you could see paddys wigwam in one of the backshots or its a similar structure and I've assumed. It's why I thought they had added it in cgi because the landscape didn't match.

Decent episode last night, ridiculous but entertaining.

I thought it was one of the poorer ones to be fair. Set a few things up but last weeks was ace.

The background you see Paddy’s Wigwam, the anglican and I’m sure the radio city tower

There was a feature in the Mirror about the locations and it is basically all in Belfast , with , as Bobby suggested , CGI added for specific shots like the Liverpool one.

So I learned that the one with the waistcoats has some problems in the bedroom area. Not least, by the looks of things, being asked to do the business in a bed that was barely a double.

Other than that, not a clue.

It does appear to be show that has a number of ‘wow’ moments which mask the load of nonsense going on in the rest of it.

I’ll keep going though. It’s earned its stripes down the years. Mildly entertaining bollocks, not a patch on the last series of The Unforgotten.

It's funny, I feel like the show has evolved to serve the fans, you can picture a lot of the mysterious moments in it being reacted to on Gogglebox or being manna to the MEN clickbait writers.

When it started it probably went under the radar a lot more and was just a cop drama, albeit a really well written one.

Game of Thrones went down the same path.

Hope you never have to investigate anything for me. Rather have Ray Charles.

I thought she said no but he said it was alright with him because he couldn’t anyway. Could be wrong, I was distracted by the tiny bed.

Why would he fail a drug test for buying over the counter painkillers?

That's what i've been saying to the Mrs for the last week, i just don't get the panic. Unless he's been mushing a bit of lemo in there as well, what's the big deal?

I think she followed the car because she had gone beyond being mildly suspicious of Ryan Pilkington, she had just had that little sit down with Steve where he's worked out the little kid Kate interviewed in S1 is the same person who tortured him.  So i can see the logic in her following the car, particularly as he is supposed to be escorting Terry whatshisname to his registered address.

It could impair his ability to catch bent coppers if he looks like he sailed up the Lagan in a bubble.

She had that sit down after she followed the car didn't she.

Yeah, just checked and you're right. But, she had just had that Terry Boyle interview where Kelly Mac told her to button it as she was nearing him spilling a name, and she was already suspicious of Pilkington anyway so it didn't come across as a random act to me. Once an AC narc, always an AC narc.
