I don't think you need to know that CHIS means covert human intelligence source to know that they're talking about an informant.

Is it a real term? First time I’ve ever heard it and the repetition really grated

Can’t stand Kate anymore. Fucking arselicker loves letting the boss know whose boss.

Takes me right out of the show now the amount of times she says it.

She says 'mate' and 'boss' more than a Turkish barber.

I thought it was alright at least its something to watch.

I thought the lads lawyer had definitely stolen the face off the undercover FBI agent who befriended Adriana in The Sopranos.

Yeah it's good, I really enjoy it. Always have, even the weaker seasons.

For the majority of that episode I thought it was an undercover copper they were referring too.

A much less explosive start than previous series' openers. Lots of police acronyms, lots of calling people 'mate' and 'boss', lots of characters staring through windows, and another Asian WPC who always looks like she's shitting herself. You could get wasted very quickly playing a drinking game based on this show's tropes.

Total brown noser!

Thought it was a decent enough episode, enjoyable and doesn't make you think too much, plus Kelly Mcdonald is always easy on the eye to.

I still think Hastings jumps in a bit too early at times. It almost always ends with him and AC-12 having to deal with legal and bureaucratic stalling when he'd be better off trying to set traps. Also, that Asian WPC would be the worst mole ever because she's got a permanent panicked look on her face and cracks very quickly.

What the fuck is going on with Kate? It’s like she’s turned into a different person. I wonder whether she’s gone deep undercover to the point where even Steve doesn’t know. Something concocted between just her and Hastings.

It’s either that or she got so frustrated with AC-12 being frozen out she’s taken matters into her own hands. She clocked Ryan straight away. Redemption by series end.

I really hope not – my wife predicted that about 5 minutes into the first episode, and I'm not sure I could cope with her smugness if it turned out to be right.
