Halftime - Liverpool 0 Forest 1

The visitors have been the better side with their pressing a real feature of the half.

We have created a few chances and have looked bright when we get forward, however, the Forest press is stopping us playing out from the back as we would like to, so we're having to go a little more direct which hasn't always seen us retain possession.

Far away from the spotlight of the title-chasing first team, the injury-plagued remnants of our Under-18 squad trudge towards the end of the season at Kirkby, with a final home game against Blackburn Rovers, who looked like the best team in the league before Christmas, and will now end up a place behind us. No live coverage, obviously.

Davies; Mabaya, Scanlon, Chambers, Miles, Stephenson, Pilling, McConnell, Blair, Frauendorf, Cannonier.

Subs : Hewitson, Gyimah, Pennington, Koumas, Roberts.

Is Owen Beck likely to be in the first team squad next season?

He'll probably train with them more and be in the squad for the cup competitions if he doesn't go out on loan for first-team experience.

He's made good progress over the past couple of seasons and certainly has similar attributes to Robbo & Kostas, so I'd like to think that the lad has a future at the club.

He'll turn 20 in August, so I'm of the thinking that he will need another season before we start thinking of him as a fixture in the first-team squad on a more regular basis.

I think a loan move would be beneficial for him, but as always, it's finding the right club to send him on loan to, with the assurance that he'll see significant game time while there.

The 23s are in action this afternoon in their final league game of the season. Kick-off at The Academy at 14:00.

They play hosts to the Mancs with a chance to finish above them should we win today.

No live coverage of the game, unfortunately.

Just waiting for the lineup.
