Halftime - Blackburn 3 Liverpool 1

The home side deservedly in front at the break. We're struggling to defend crosses into the box, just look clueless when defending set-pieces. Granted the back 4/5 are playing alongside each other for the first time, but they just don't look like they understand what their roles are when defending set plays.

At least they will feel at home when they graduate to the first team.

Fulltime - Blackburn 3 Liverpool 1

The game was lost in the first half. We defended better in the second half, but it's certainly an area that needs improving.

Luca Stephenson was a massive miss for the lads today with the midfield left a little wanting at times during the game.

Now, the Under-23s vs. Crystal Palace:

Pitaluga; Quansah, Gallacher, Boyes, Koumetio, Clayton, Bajcetic, Bearne, Musialowski, Woltman.

Subs : Kelly, Corness, Dixon-Bonner (only 3 subs on the team sheet)

Worrying number of players who  might be needed at teatime.

Missing Norris from the lineup there.

Beck, Bradley, Gordon and Morton are all on first-team duty today.

You would think playing seven defenders in the starting line-up (one has now gone off injured) would yield fewer goals conceded

it’s now 3-0

There has to be something wrong with the coaching.
