Not quite sure why Lewtas has gone with Woltman in midfield and Bobby Clark up top.

We're already short in the middle of the park as it is and Max is not going to be playing central midfield in the long term, while Bobby Clark is a midfielder and looks completely lost playing a role that he's not likely to play too often in his future career.

Jack Bearne is no central midfielder either, but I can understand him playing in there more than I can Max.

Certainly doesn't seem like we're helping ourselves in this game, and I don't see what we're going to learn from these lads playing out of position for just 1 game.

Corness is getting swamped in the middle of the park when we're trying to play out from the back.

On a positive note, Kaide Gordon is going to be some player in a few years. Certainly would not look out of place in a first-team for a Championship side.

I was a critic of us avoiding this competition in the first years but maybe we were right. I thought it would be a good grounding for the youngsters rather than always playing aged games. I thought that extra skill from the lads might negate extra strength from the league teams and make for interesting contests , but we are just getting smashed game on game.
