Chelsea 2 Liverpool 3

The home side back in it. A looping header at the back post as Gallacher is beaten in the air. The ball is headed back across goal and into the net. Marcelo has no chance.

Full-time - Chelsea 4 Liverpool 3

Ran out of steam in the second half. Should really have had the game put to bed after going 3-1 up.

The substitution of Conor Bradley seemed to spark Chelsea's recovery, with them able to get down our right hand side more frequently and find space to score all 3 second half goals from that side of the park.

U16’s playing Leeds today. There’s a lad playing for Leeds called Coban Bird. Never seen him play but he’s only 14 so must have something about him.

I used to play football with his Dad. Although not without ability, his main strengths were his fierce competitiveness and athleticism. I used to like nutmegging him in training, pissed him right off.

Smash ‘em Reds.

As well as the 16s playing Leeds, the 18s also travel to Yorkshire to face Leeds - kick-off at midday with live coverage on the offal from 11:55.

As ever, team news will be posted once it's available.

1-0 Leeds

We lose the ball in midfield after a 'robust challenge' on Harvey Blair, and their counter attack ends with the Leeds player shooting into the far corner of the net.

We'd had the majority of the game up to that point and had wasted several chances.

Leeds 1 Liverpool 0

The hosts are in front against the run of play in all honesty.

Like the 23s yesterday, the lads switch off expecting the game to be stopped after a teammate, Harvey Blair, went down injured.

Leeds 2 Liverpool 1

Cannonier on the scoresheet once again. Nice work from Harvey Blair to find Bobby Clark's run down the right. The young Geordie cuts the ball back to the penalty spot where Cannonier was on hand to turn home. Probably the hardest of the chances that he's had in the game so far too.

Leeds 3 Liverpool 1

The 2 goal advantage is restored. We've actually started the second half the better side too, so a blow to concede the third goal.
