Right, Under-18s vs. Derby (7 pm, LFCTV)

Mrozek; Wilson, Chambers, Jonas, Miles, Bajcetic, Gordon, Mabaya, McConnell, Pilling, Frauendorf.

Subs : Kelly, Quansah, Scanlon, Hayes-Green.

An understandably experimental line-up for the last League game.

Tommy Pilling one to look out for - Just a small lad, but is supposed to be quite the talent.

Liverpool 2 Derby 0

Tommy Pilling gets an effort away from the edge of the box following a free-kick that Derby couldn't clear. The effort is turned in via a deflection off Frauendorf who appears to have been credited with the goal.

Half time 2-0

So far so good. We've been bright in possession, and Gordon appears to be on a mission against his old club.

You can't tell that this is essentially a second team.

Also their right-back would have been sent off by many other refs; a deliberate handball was just a free-kick, and a hard foul merited just a talking-to.

Half-time - Liverpool 2 Derby 0

Goals from Kaide Gordon and a deflection from Frauendorf to divert Tommy Pilling's shot beyond the visiting keeper have us deservedly in front.

Derby have been decent but haven't really threatened our goal.

Lee Jonas is having an excellent game at the back. Mabaya & Gordon have done well too. Tommy Pilling is finding some nice little pockets of space.

Full time 3-0

Enjoyable game to watch, lots of promise for the future. We got a bit tired towards the end, and wasted some chances by trying to get Frauendorf a hat-trick, but Mrozek deserved his clean sheet. We finish third in the North Section, but next stop Portman Road...

Yep. Excellent game to watch. Good to see a number of newer faces too.

I thought James McConnell was fantastic in the second half - seemed to get stronger and stronger as the game went on. Terrence Miles had a solid game in the middle of the park, while Stefan Bajcetic also impressed at centre-half alongside Lee Jonas. Both fullbacks were good too.

I thought Tommy Pilling had a good game. Got into some good areas and played some nice passes to try and create opportunities. Not quite got the physicality to play game after game at the 18s level just yet, but you can see the lad has a footballing brain.
