Probably about the right margin of victory in the end.

Yeah. They had a couple of good chances in the second half that they really should have done better with.

Given the chances we created in the first half, it could quite easily have finished 5-2.

Half time - Liverpool 0 City 2

The visitors are comfortable and are good value for their 2-0 lead.

The first goal is avoidable, but we let Delap just run through the middle of the park, from around the halfway line without a challenge, despite having numbers around him. Thought Ojrzynski might have shown him too much of the far post as he went to close the striker down, but he was left exposed by the defence coming back.

We had the ball in the net through Niall Brookwell, but it was chalked off for hand ball. Niall's initial effort was well saved by the visiting keeper, and the ball then ricocheted up on to Brookwell's hand/arm before he tucked the ball into the net, but was rightly pulled back for handball unfortunately.

City's second was a very well taken goal. The had some controlled possession around the half way line and worked the ball out left to the tricky Edozie who drove into the box and done Bradley like a kipper with a couple of stepovers before slamming a left footed effort high into the net. Good goal.

Other than our disallowed effort, we've not really looked a threat in the final third. The effort is there, but City are very comfortable at the back.
