Youth Team/Cup

I've not been watching as many of the youth team games this season. Williams seems to have improved a hell of a lot.

Not done too badly at right back considering he's more of a centre half, both today and when he came on against Wolves on Friday gone.

I'd have Randall and Trickett-Smith on at the break, in place of Lussey and Williams. Not because either Lussey or Williams have played badly, more to reward to the two lads who have been outstanding for the 18s this season.

I've only watched 5 or 6 games so far this season which is unusual for me Al.

First time I've seen him out on the right, surprised me when he got in the box early on, I've been far from convinced when I've seen him play previously. Looks a lot more like a footballer now.

Jones is still looking like he could turn out well and although Rossiters been quiet today I still think he could as well.

Poor performance really. Reading pressed us and we didn't step up. Peterson in particular had a frustrating game, but hardly had much on show for quick passes. Missed Brannagan covering the ground up top. Looked more of a threat after DTS came on as he's going to support his wide men more.

Yep. Thought Peterson and Dunn were very ineffective tonight.

It was good to see Rossiter and Chirivella playing together in the heart of the team. Lussey certainly deserves to be in the side, as he's performed well of late, but he's better in the deeper role.

How does that work? Playing for U21's I mean.

You're allowed to field 2 or 3 overage players. Can't remember the exact number.

We very rarely use overage players, except when players are coming back from injury.
