Fascinating document this - written 3 years ago, but frankly, what's changed?

For every $1 in growth, USA takes on $4 of debt. The West has lost the means of production, but unfortunately, forgot to reduce consumerism. The gap filled with debt. The banks are loving it.

The Bank That Almost Broke Britain

The extraordinary story of how a small Scottish bank grew to become the biggest in the world before collapsing and triggering the largest financial bail-out in British history.

"The Creature From Jekyl Island."    G. Edward griffin

Some of you will be aware of the book, some will have read it. How The Federal Reserve Bank was created in secret, while congress wasn't looking.

Griffin is now in his 80s, and this is a fascinating interview with him.

Just logged on to my banking app to check something, and discovered that somebody has transferred £33,930 into my current account today.

Unfortunately, it’s not mine so I’ll have to make a trip to the nearest branch tomorrow to explain that somebody has fucked up and that it isn’t suspicious activity they need to report to the police as potential money laundering.

It’s yours. Their mistake. Tell them to fuck off.

I’d have a quick look at the rules surrounding this, possibly there’s a time limit for the bank to take action such as seven years. Then I’d inform them in a way that’s auditable but likely to be over-looked such as email. Leave the money there, gathering interest until they did something about it. So long as you’ve informed them and you don’t spend it, you’re covered until the time limit is up - then it’s yours

Not so I’m afraid.  And as a barrister he has certain ethical obligations.

Its mine. Just transfer it over when you get a minute. You can have a tenner for the inconvenience.
