Not a fan of builds personally,  much of what they offer is ill maintained and they're usually unnecessarily bloated.

Several of those apps you've quoted there are obsolete already (including my favourite Fen).

Nowadays I strongly favour the lightest possible self build. I've stripped my Kodi back to just Add-ons and Favourites, I've only got Seren installed and use The Shadow as a back up.

My Favourites only had shortcuts to my Seren Trakt TV Collection and Seren Trakt Movie Watchlist.

But that's the minimalist way I choose to roll; end of the day, if it works, it works.

I think I might follow your lead mate.

While I can open the apps quite easily it can take a few minutes before the menu shows and again for every further step before you can watch something.

The build slowing things down maybe or perhaps because there's only about 700 mb of memory left on the Firestick.

Clearing the cache and restarting the stick does seem to help, but it can still be slow.

I also have an uncanny knack of selecting the wrong torrent where it freezes because the stream is too slow for continued viewing.

I might get a Fire TV Cube next time they're on offer as they have double the memory even though the RAM is the same.

Tried kodi recently and nothing seems to work any more. Is it even still a thing?

A load of the apps were taken down a month or so back.

I'm using Seren through Kodi and Ezra through Nodi, both with Real Debrid.

Working better than ever.

It's a stripped down offshoot / fork, optimized for Android, faster and more reliable.

My first port of call.

Just tried to download it following Troypoints instructions but it won't have it.

I'm not having any problems with Kodi, but thought having a back up would be good.

No hardship though.

I used kodi for the first time in ages last night and cleared most,if not all of the add ons. I then found a sports add on that actually worked and was able to watch the last few minutes of Real Madrid losing at Rayo Vallecano. They all seem to need these Trakt or Real Debrid subscriptions which rules me out of watching almost all films and tv on there.

Trakt is free, RD costs about €16 for 6 months.

Do it, worth every penny.

Kodi used to be sound for watching footy years ago. These days, not so much. If you were relying on it to watch the reds you’d be very disappointed, very often.
