Have you both tried turning off web safe? I think if you log into your Virgin account there'll be an option to do it there. Some ISP's block certain sites until you switch it off.

 

It's definitely worth joining one or two Facebook groups as people post all manner of questions on there and there'll always be a few tips to pick up.

I dont really want to try a reinstall as i never done it and i dont want to fuck it up. Keeping reading about zipped files for this and that and in clueless

I wouldn't know how to reinstall Kodi on your box but once it's on adding stuff on to it is a lot easier than it sounds. Just google Kodi and the name of the add on you want and there's easy instructions to follow.

I have added channels but it just this no stream available shit. Ill look later and if worst happens ill just have to try back to factory setting reinstall

I'd put a fresh version of Kodi on it myself. If you do that and then just stick a build on it you will have a newer up to date version of what you have now. It's really not that hard and will come in useful.

I'm not using a build myself so it's probably better that someone recommends a good recent build first before telling you how to wipe the one that's already on it.

If you've done a fresh install then put Ares Wizard on it before anything else.

From there you can easily add a build or loads of the popular add ons. A build is just a set up that someone else has made with add ons and background pics already on. I've never tried one but the one I've seen recommended most is Syk TV. With the Ares Wizard it's easy to try a few and see which you like best.

Reinstall Kodi, open it up, then follow the instructions in that link mate.

Do a fresh start on the current version of Kodi first. If you just install it again it will probably still have everything on it.

Well I'm very nearly there.

 

Just about finished refining my own "build", a Cirrus Ex skin that looks really smooth and very swish and dead sophisticated but I have hit a snag; my TV Guide menu is defaulting to the Next Aired app rather than my (pretty excellent and equally as swish) customised FTV EPG app.

 

Although I've got my FTV guide set and accessible from my Favourites, I cannot set it to display when I select the TV Guide sub menu.

 

Any pointers fellas ?! My pizzle is starting to boil.

Not quite sure I understand your problem, mate. Are you saying you have a 'TV Guide' section on your home screen and you want to add the FTV guide so it shows as an option underneath?

 

I sorted mine out last night. The iVue guide is ace. I'm on the mimic skin. Click 'Live TV' on my home screen and it opens the guide right up. Also got all the channels in a widget above it and the sub menu just consists of Livemix, FTV, Halow, BBC iplayer and ITV player.

Seen a install video for tvmc. Might give that ago as there is no fucking around. You doenload that straight to the box and all the settings etc are there as are a load of add ons

You don't need to wipe the box mate, and I would first suggest checking out YouTube for a gander of these various builds, see which appeals most to you.

No harm in giving it a try. You can run both Kodi and TVMC on the same box.

 

You will then either be more willing to try a different build on Kodi as you always have a fallback or just settle for TVMC for now.
