Live Mix is a new live TV addon. It's in the Metal Kettle repo. It's a bit ugly and not the easiest to navigate through to the channel you want but for now it's working fine. Includes a sports section.

I would advise throwing the android boxes in the bin. Most people seem to have massive problems with them. Amazon firesticks seem far less problematic,for now at least.

My Minix Linux box is great.

 

Loads of stuff pre-programmed (cos I'm a lazy arse), but I've also whacked loads of other apps on there myself.

My bird has added me into a Whatsapp group to talk her cousin through installing Kodi on a fire stick. What I really need is Cloggy's phone number so I can copy him into the conversation. Haha.

Don't see the problem with boxes, at all.

Linux is much more stable than Android. A lot of Android boxes can have Linux installed instead though which is exactly what I'd do if I owned one.

Yeah, I sent her that. Then she kept coming back with shit like she couldn't find ES file explorer, the 'arm' link wasn't working, etc. I had to answer all that, all the while wishing she'd just shut up so I could keep up with the bickering on the GF.

Got sticks in the kids bedrooms and one that I move upstairs and downstairs depending on where I'm watching telly. I'm thinking of getting one more device to stay in the living room permanently. Maybe not even with Kodi on, my cousin reckons his Zgemma box is sound but I haven't been up to his lately and don't really trust his opinion.

I've got a fire box in the living room. Don't really notice the difference if I'm honest, but they are supposed to be more reliable.

Anyone know how to set a custom background picture on The Beast? Just set it all up on a mate's Firestick.

 

He's a scummer who never stops moaning about what a cunt Adam Lallana is for leaving them, even though I tell him he's not that good and to stop being bitter over an average player.

 

Anyway, got hold of a photo where he previously met Lallana and said it made his day, want to set it as his background.

If you can get the picture on to the fire stick's SD card then it's a piece of piss from there. I wouldn't know how to go about that unless the picture is already online and you can find it on a Google image search.

 

If you can, there's a Google image add on in the Kodi repository which lets you save pictures on to the stick.

Add ons - Install from repository - Kodi repo - program/picture add ons.

 

Not on Kodi right now so not sure if that last step says program or picture mate. It will be on either or.
