There's absolutely no way he's going to take a pay cut. And there's also no way we are prepared to give him a long deal because of his age. He's a lad who will be wanting to play, he won't want to sit on the bench, so it seems to me if you keep him on the wage he's one now, if he fails to play a certain number of games, he can have a free after year one. Saudi will still want him in a year and I don't believe he's got one eye on playing elsewhere in Europe. But there's just no way with the numbers he still delivers you can think he will sign a deal at 40-45% of his current deal. While he might have lost a yard or two in pace, he's a more rounded footballer than he was when he was younger and as much a creator as a goalscorer. 

 

If we offer him £150k per week, he won't be playing here next season.

It's been mentioned about a hundred times in here that the club would jump at an extension and Salah would laugh at it.

I'd give him 18 pound an hour but a million pound for every goal he scores and 500 thousand for every assist but each assist gets him a spin on the lucky wheel, the lucky wheel cold double his money, could half it, it could even mean the club has to buy Eygptian artifacts from the London museum and send rhem back to Eygpt. Thought he was really good today. I’m normally quite critical about his general play, but today it was a good performance overall, not least he did more in the second half to protect Trent/Gomez.

 

End product is simply unreal, and that assist for Jones was sublime.
