Premier League goals first and second half of season:
17/18: 15-17 (AFCON n January/February -17)

18/19: 12-10

19/20: 9-10 (AFCON in June/July -19)

20/21: 13-9

21/22: 15-8 AFCON in January/February

22/23: 7-12

23/24: 12-6 AFCON in January/February + injury

That said we also have the domestic and European Cups and without those numbers its difficult to spot a pattern.

One thing is certain though, the AFCON can fuck right off.

I've thought for a while, afcon could be the stumbling block in him staying. If you're reading data, it tells you there's not much value from him after one (and obviously we lose him for a month normally). If we're only interested in a 12 month deal and that deal includes afcon, you can see why it starts being a problem.

Another factor is that the Afcon is earlier next season as it starts on the 21st of December rather than the usual January date so it means he could end up missing about 7 league games if Egypt go far.

PSG have a winter break.

His numbers are ridiculous. I know Messi, Rapey Ron, and the Citeh troll have set ridiculous levels, but Mo's are still enviable.

Even if he leaves at the end of the season he won't be far off 250 goals in all competitions for Liverpool (I think he's on 217 or 218 now).

An incredible player.

Edit: IMHO if he played as many games for Liverpool as Rushie did, I think he'd beat Rushie's record. And that's no slight on Rushie.

To be fair to Rushie he didn't get 15 games most seasons in the Champions League or UEFA Cup to rack up goals against piss poor opposition from under developed countries. Nor penalties. No slight on Mo but there you are.

He was played like a bitch by Barry. The equivalent of sending a kid to a shop and asking him fast he can run.

Haha you could say that, but I have a strong desire to get facts right.

When I found the summary at Transfermarkt, it was pretty easy to do the maths.

Im here to please.

You are talking like Rush didn't play against the likes of Helsinki,Dundalk, Oulu Palloseura,Widzew Łódź,Odense BK and Poznan in the European cup. Or play in league cup/FA cup games against 3/4th division teams at a time the first team played every game.

They had one chance to progress in Europe, home and away. Domestically the cups were seen as prestigious and lower division teams actually tried to beat the big teams rather than rolling over in the tunnel.

I have lots of opinions on Mo Salah, but sometimes, I just let the data do the talking.

For example:

I think this speaks for itself.  But how does he maintain such fitness?  Well:

data-visualization-711x530.png

And I hear people saying he's not as strong on his right side.  I'm not sure that's true:

648d73aa2001790b0e5f0f09_image-21.png

There's also the question of his pace slowing with age.  I think this is marginal at best, and is up for debate:

1664971382-to_much_data_on_map.jpg

So, we need to look at his partnerships through the seasons, and who he connected with best:

graph_9.jpg

And as for the influence of a new manager:

france22.jpg

I even hear people question his speed over short, median and equalescent standardised quartiles:

france23.jpg

See for yourself.

It's clear he has a few good years left in him:

How did you do that?

I mean, posting pictures and then add text between the different pictures?

Agree with this. Also the playing field was far more level those days, at least across Europe. Today the likes of Brighton and West Ham have more spending power than the top teams in most leagues.

Like this:

charts-maze-graphs-energy-saving-600nw-2

But there is a slightly easier way - depending on what device you are using:

0*bPkps9j7ubod6FlK

Personally though i'd suggest this is the best way, but it very much depends on personal preference:

1680571621620?e=2147483647&v=beta&t=vxr2

A mate of mine knocked this one up and I am trying it, will let you know if any good:

Give them all a whirl and let us know how get on/which you find works best for you...
