Salah could miss 10 open nets and Code would stay he was sensational. Same as it ever was.

Like I said in an earlier post, he should have tried his own luck twice yesterday instead of passing, Im pretty sure he would have scored at least one.

If Nunez had passed the ball to Salah when Salah was all alone at the back post, instead of trying his own luck when he scored the goal, would Salah have had a better game overall if he scored from that attack instead?

Why would you want to exclude goals and assists?

And where did these stats come from? How can nunez not be on the dribbles list, when his goal literally came from a dribble? And if those stats aren't right, how can we trust the others?

The stats are from here., I excluded goals and assists since I guess everyone knew that Diaz had two goals, Nunez one, while Salah, Trent and Konate got the assists.

Nunez was not really a dribble though, more a change of direction and he did not go past anyone with the ball, he took his shot when he was in line with the defender.

We have different ideas of what a dribble is then. I don't believe you ever have to go past a player for it to be a dribble. In my opinion, Nunez nods the ball down, dribbles, checks inside, dribbles to create an angle and score. This is why stats are shite.

I would think most people’s definition is that you have to go past a player with the ball to actually dribble him.

You had a ticket for the Forest game last weekend, didn’t you?

Must have been a bitter pill to swallow watching your man have an obvious nightmare.

That Wikipedia entry makes it clear that going past an opponent isn't an essential, defining characteristic of a dribble.

Opta are full of shite.

You dribble past the opposition, if not you are just running with the ball.

Im actually amazed this is even up for discussion.

Running with the ball is not dribbling.

The definition I posted is from a website run by the english fa. We are talking about English football. Maybe in Norway it means something different. I suspect it's more about stato's needing to define bullshit.

Anyway, I'm not that arsed, it just demonstrates how valueless the stats are.

Who do you dribble then, yourself?

Its like discussing with people from a forgotten part of the world who have never watched or played football their entire life.
