I think it is stupid to do this with a paper thin squad. If we were like City who have 25 replacements for every player then its fine,but for a club who blew its title chances because of one African player at the AFCON Cup to then add another its madness. I've never even heard of this Salah fella and I've yet to see an Egyptian international who I think is anything above half decent.

I am not berating the club for buying an African player per se but for putting more eggs in the same basket. If the club goes out and buys another 5 or 6 players who could cover for Mane and Salah before August then fine,but it seems unlikely based on past history. Also,Africa is the only continent who have their Championships during the season of the major European Leagues,even South America doesn't. So yes stupid is my description.
