Looks like Michael Edwards sat to Mo's left, dressed as the Milk Tray man. Current Liverpool Sporting Director and leaving at the end of the season. Could be Madrid or Newcastle bound if rumours are to be believed.

When you stop Mo from getting onto his left foot whilst he cuts in from the right, you take 75% of his game off him. Diaz, on the last few month's evidence, has far better footwork. Mo just keeps trying to get on his left foot.

We can't rest him as there are no adequate replaements - unlike the left with Mane, Diaz and Jota.

He’s completely out of form and has been for a while. The only benefit of him playing at the moment is that opposition will still pay him plenty of attention, which may free up space for others. That’s not enough, though. Not starting him tonight would have thrown Spurs, and he could always be brought in later. I’d be pretty irritated if I was Jota.

Wouldn’t be too confident of him playing any significant part in a revenge mission against Real, based on the his 2022 showings for us. We coped well while he was away in January, but we’ve suffered since for the ridiculous amount of minutes he played in that tournament.

But he's offering nothing and hasn't for weeks. This is the guy half the fans want to see us pay the thick end of half a million a week. He's just constantly looking for the left foot strike. Defenders are reading it like a book. I've no idea what the solution is but there needs to be one.

We should really have experimented though. He’s been awful and we won’t see the best of him again until he gets a rest in the summer, assuming he stays with us.

Mane seemed to do okay on the right before Salah signed. He can actually shoot with either foot, which would be a bloody luxury on the right at the moment.

Yep, that. I'd be fucking furious. Diogo gas done nothing wrong but he's been dropped for Diaz which is maybe understandable, but now he's just sat on his arse watching Mo offer absolutely fuck all.

They've been reading it for ages. At the peak of his form he still wriggles free and scores, but even a schoolkid would know that if he's on the right and he only shoots with his left, you either keep him out wide or just block his route. He's still going to be dangerous if the other team pushes up and there's space for him to run into, but, really, if he can't even try the odd shot with his right, play him on the left for a while - at least it would give defenders something else to worry about. At the moment he's wasting masses of chances.

Needs a rocket up his arse quite frankly.  He's had dips in form before but he's been pretty average since returning from ACON.  With the options we have upfront nobody should be guaranteed a start and right now he certainly not in in the top 2 of attackign performers.

There's an argument to start him against Villa and tell him he's playing for his his cup final starting spot.

State of that from Mo. Listen, I love the guy and what he's done for us but this is week after week right now. We've got nothing coming from the right. This last few weeks of the season demands top form from everyone and if he can't invent an alternative to cutting inside trying to get on his left then we need to do something else.
