They'd be daft not to try, he's quality and they've got money for compo - we know Kenwright loves a bit of cash. They've got a spine of loan players and no guarantee they'll be there next season.

I'm not concerned about the new manager bounce effect, because their next four games were eminently winnable anyway. Back with a. Bump in January against City, United and Arsenal in the cup.

Ha, we've all been there. Much as I admire the fact our excellent performance yesterday got his hook slung I think he's been diddled over again by another club's board. What is wrong with letting a manager have a full season? They bought every half decent player available in the summer and sold an utterly brilliant one that was digging them out of the shinola in every game. It's not the manager's fault that they haven't settled into a title challenging team instantly.
