May be time to save up the bottle caps if Bethesda responds in the positive to this pre-order?

For the amount of free press that'll probably generate, and the cost to ship them over, they'd have to be massive cunts not to sort him out.

From the Eurogamer link :

UPDATE 25/06/2015 5.49pm: Bethesda has accepted Seth's bottle caps as legal tender to pre-order Fallout 4, but only because he was the first to do this. So don't go out getting smashed and sending Bethesda your caps in hopes of attaining its highly anticipated sequel.

PC Modding will be transferable to Xbox One - Just announced at E3.

This is a pretty big bonus for Xbox owners. Within 6 months of the game releasing the modding community will put out a graphics mod that will make this one of the best looking games ever, and while the Xbox won't improve as much as a Hardcore PC Gaming Rig, it will end up looking much better than an unmodded Fallout 4.

http://www.irishexaminer.com/technow/games/fallout-4-has-over-100000-lines-of-dialogue-352112.html

Fallout 4 has over 100,000 lines of dialogue

Fallout 4 is going to be really, really big. And it’s also going to have a lot of talking in it, according to new direct from Bethesda themselves.

Just think about it for a minute. All of those lines have to come from the lore of the world. They have to be conceived and written by the content folks. Then voice artists have to be cast and provide a range of voices and capture it all in sessions which then have to be placed in the game world to appear somewhat organic.

That doesn’t include the player character who will be fully voiced for the first time in a Fallout game. They spent two years with their male and female voice artists, running lines with different tones and more than 13,000 individual responses. That doesn’t even include time spent making the noises you hear your character make as you move around the world. Imagine trying to ensure that all that noise is perfectly calibrated to not annoy the player or take them out of the experience of playing the game.

This is just one element of the wider world, which contains twice as many assets as the massive world of Skyrim. Every mug and book and rock and blasted tree had to be created and placed by an artist, outside of weighing game mechanics, putting together cut scenes and making sure it all runs smoothly.

Blockbuster game production is an amazing feat and Fallout 4 is looking like something really special.

Sounds like it is going to be a huge game.

Anyone given Fallout Shelter a go?

It's been a decent time waster so far (even if my first two vaults did suffer from too rapid expansion and a near complete massacre at the hands of deathclaws).

It's basically an overcomplicated tamagotchi. Don't think mobile games are for me.

I'd be shocked if the two console versions didn't run pretty much identically. The graphics don't look like they're pushing the envelope, and aiming for 1080p at 30fps means if anything they're more likely to be spending time getting the XB1 version up to parity.

The Xbox One version will be getting mod support first though.

FALLOUT 4 INSTALL SIZE AND RECOMMENDED SPECS REVEALED

Plus, when you can start playing.

BY LUKE KARMALI  Bethesda has revealed a host of details about Fallout 4, including how much space it'll take up on your hard drive, what the minimum PC specifications are, and when the game will actually be unlocked and made available for play.

The developer has revealed you'll need between 28GB and 35GB on console depending on where you live and what languages you want the game to support.

Additionally, it's been announced Fallout 4 will digitally unlock on November 10, 2015, at 12:00am (local time) in all territories (In North America, the unlock time will be 12:01am EST), except Asia (available at 12am on Tuesday, November 11) and Japan (available at 12am on Thursday, December 17).

As for the PC specifications, they're as follows:

Minimum

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

The game's share of your hard drive will increase over time, as Bethesda has said regular updates will be part of Fallout 4, updates that add new features in a similar vein to Skyrim.

Bethesda's Pete Hines also recently told IGN Fallout 4’s story will likely remain under wraps until its launch.
