I'm never quite sure what 'house proud' means. Do you mean, am I proud of my house? I like my house but I don't love it but I am very interested in the look of my home and get pleasure from thinking about how to get it looking the way I'd like it. Is that 'house proud'? I know for lots of people their priority spending is their 2 week summer holiday or whatever but to be honest I've always been happier spending my money on my home so that I can enjoy that and feel comfortable for the remaining 50 weeks in the year.

Couldnt agree more. Just had some work done- meant the little table on the landing was out of place for approx 2 weeks.

When it finally went back in place, with its little lamp and books- everything was well in the world.
