Mate has been banging on about the Blue Jays for weeks, so I got fed up with calling it Rounders to wind him up, and as he is away in Florida at present on hols I actually went on to the Toronto Star website to read the details of the 3rd win against Texas. I understood about 1 word in 4 and it may as well have been in Swahili.

I fucking loved the Expos, used to go to Montreal in the mid 80s and early 90s to see them in the worst stadium ever, the Big O.

 

And Montreal had strip clubs where you could touch the girls. And Nick's Palace Sex Aquarium was incredible, girls stripping in big fish tanks, girl on girl shows and champagne rooms.

Fat fucking twat but Steve Rodgers should never have been in there; the Expos bullpen was pretty shit if i recall...Woody Fryman, Elias Sosa...but Burris was pitching his ass off and won in LA as wel.

 

It took me a long time to get over that and the cancellation of the season where they had the best record in baseball killed the franchise, well that and not building a proper downtown ball park.

 

And Youppi was the best mascot in baseball!

World Series between Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs gets under way in the early hours. Cleveland's manager Terry Francona has a 100% record in the World Series from his time with the Red Sox, whereas I bet the Cubs are the neutrals' pick given how it's well over a century since they last won the thing. I'll just check the scores in the morning - no way am I staying up to watch it like I did in 2013.

How about Kyle Schwarber? Did his ACL and was ruled out for the year. Had a check up with the doc last friday and was given the all clear to start training again, immediately lobbied to be included in the world series, went to Arizona and had two run outs in the minors and then came back in and has looked great.

 

Looking forward to watching tonight, even though Schwarber can't play because there's no DH in the National League. He might pinch hit though, so there's that.

 

Just wish the games didn't take so damn long and weren't on so late.

The world is deffo ending soon. Cleveland sports having success was definitely a sign of the end times. So the Indians,Cavs and Mioic(UFC Heavyweight Champ) have arrived only the 4th horsemen left in the Browns (i reckon we are safe for another 50 or so years)
