Yeah Edwards

Usman best wins are easily arguably better than GSP at Welterweight already. Woodley, Covington and Burns are better than Hughes, Fitch, Shields and Koscheck.

The level in MMA has gone through the roof the past 10 years. Everyone is a far more complete fighter.

What do you think of Chimaev? Are you on the hype train or not?

Colby Covington can.

Not saying he will as Usman just looks to be getting better but Colby as big a dick as the character he's playing up is, is a really really good fighter. Tough as fuck and a even better tank than Usman.

The scorecards going into that 5th round in the first fight 3-1 Usman, 3-1 Colby and 2-2.

Their cardio seems equal and Usman only seems to be getting better as a striker. With Trevor Wittman as his coach, he'll keep on improving. Colby is a very basic, volume based puncher with no power. I think Usman beats him easily in a rematch.

Usman is welterweight Khabib with hands.

Unless he retires early or his knees blow up, no one is taking the belt off him.

Usman looks more vulnerable than Khabib. Burns had him hurt but let him recover by lying on the floor for the rest of the round and the Colby took him all the way.

He's a very dominant champion but not like Khabib who barely lost a round in a much more talent rich division.

Yeah but no way Khabib can endure those jabs/punches from a much MUCH bigger fighter like Usman.

I'm not saying Khabib beats him, just that he's a more dominant champion. Gaethje reckons Khabib would beat Usman after fighting Khabib and training with Usman. May be a case of making himself feel better though after being pretty much humiliated by Khabib.

That's fair enough. Usman's striking is far better than Khabib's but I think Khabib has dominated completely because strikers have gone into fights with him thinking they can negate his grappling game with one punch or kick but can't get past his ungainly, unorthodox but effective head movement before he starts to impose his grappling pedigree.

Not sure if anyone interested but OneFC have a great kickboxing/muay Thai card on today. The Muay Thai is especially interesting as they do it in MMA gloves. Normally in a cage too, though not always.

Get the app and it's on there and you can look through later on for a direct YouTube link to the full event.

Also the next month of UFC is unbelievably good.

Saturday

Rozenstruik vs Gane

A few others next week the card is that good Dominic Cruz and Joseph Benavidez are on the prelims

Leon Edwards

And announced for April the Figueiredo and Moreno rematch confirmed

Dana said it's bullshit though and that he hasn't retired?

Anyone see the card the other day? What a snooze fest that was!

Dana also saying a June still spitting up blood months after getting covid is due to fight in 8 weeks and that Khabib isn't coming back.

Shame about Chimaev, hopefully he's just emotional as we all can be when there doesn't appear to an end in sight to our troubles but it doesn't look good at all.

That card at the weekend was indeed incredibly dull, particularly the main event. This week's should be miles better, it can't not be.
