The Blacklist

I see a few threads about programmes from America on here, so I just wanted to highlight this one. The Blacklist pilot episode aired last week on NBC and I thought it was quite good. James Spader has a slight touch of the Hannibel Lector's about him, at least in the first episode. I don't know if this will catch on or if it will become a big programme or not, but if it comes to blighty, keep an eye out for it.

The Blacklist.

Just started watching this and it's a bit rubbish. Only up to about episode 6, but each episode feels rushed and predictable. Spader is good, but the rest are a bit wooden. I'll stick with it for a bit, but can't see me seeing out the whole of series 1.

Anything with James Spader in my book is worth watching. Never warmed to the female lead however and yes it can at times be predictable but I do enjoy the central intrigue to the series. I can't remember now when but at some point you realize that he isn't giving these names up randomly but there is a purpose behind it. It's fluff but entertaining fluff. And yes the music is good too.
