  1. 1. Aaron Ramsey Vs Jordan Henderson

Ramseys interview after the match was telling, he said he's played wide, defensive mid, attack mid, and full back this season (reminds me of Gerrard) and feels comfortable in all of them.

Sounds a little like Henderson, he's been used in various positions this season and last.

Hendo is a netball player.

Ramsay is a basketball player.

We need some basketball players in our team.

Am I the only person who doesn't understand this?

Bit unfair to judge him against the division's top performer in the position right now.

Still, Henderson really needs to start showing that he has the bottle to be an asset to a team looking to finish in the top four or higher. For all his honest endeavour, he still Shelveys it 90% of the time when he has a chance to play somebody in or score himself.

We badly need competition for himself and Lucas, and I'd love to see Gerrard used in more advanced positions from time to time.

Yes ok so he's on quite a jammy run of goalscoring form but that aside ramsay is on a differenct level than henderson. Sorry but he's just far better.

His skill level, passing, footballing brain, goal threat, gait..... all better than hendersons, he's just simply the better footballer.

Henderson probably wins on work rate, thats it

Replace Henderson with Ramsey in our team and see how many goals the latter would get. I'm going with somewhere around "fuck all".

Ramsey is a better footballer than Henderson, but more importantly he's playing in a system that actually suits midfielders.

Well the reverse is more than equally true tbh.

That plus Ramsey may still win a fair number of tackles week in and week out.

Not sure i agree he'd score "fuck all" he's played defensive mid, wide midfield and left back this season.

He seems to have it in his head that where he plays does not excuse him from being a threat to the opposition.. He seems to grasp the golden rule from uncle bobs wise words of wisdom," if your in the box and you're unsure what to do, stick it in the net and we'll discuss the options later.."

Ramsey is a fantastic example of what developing a young player with drive, commitment and potential can do.

Henderson can achieve those same things if he continues to work hard at it like he is doing.

And some people need to remember he is still only 21 and started his development at a big club later than what Ramsey did.

Ramsey deserves praise for coming back after that horrific leg break as well.

Fron the outside looking in Henderson biggest issue is himself. He seems to lack the belief in himself at the highest level. That run in the Arsenal game summed him up, he did well running initially but when the drop off him and parted like the red sea he shit himself.

If that would have been a young Gerrard or Viera they would have drove into the box and forced a rash tackle, set up a team mate for a tap in or driven a shot at goal. They may not have scored but they wouldn't have shit there pants.

He has the talent but wether he believes that himself enough is a different matter.
