that was slightly weird, but interesting.

Interesting to see the difference between notes-per-second Emerson, and Peterson's touch, expression and timing - and their drummers'.

Emerson and Palmer were fantastic players in their time, but Oscar Peterson and (what looked like) Buddy Rich were kings.

It's not Buddy Rich, Stringy.

I think Emerson and Palmer also look like they're shitting themselves. I've watched that countless times on an ELP dvd I have.

Who is it mate, do you know? He does have that jowly mid-career gob that Rich had

I used to know but my memory is fucked, I'll try and find out and get back to you.

Pop fact, Carl Palmer went out with Buddy Rich's daughter, Cathy for a bit.

I still love a LOT of Tull.

I have every album upto J Tull.com - late 90s.

once Martin Barre left I lost interest. Hoever classic Tull rotate regularly on my 16 gig prog flashdrive.

also, GREAT news. Steven Wilson is bringing his Hand.Cannot.Erase. tour to Auckland in October.

I have downloaded my tickets.

Do you know if the Steven Wilson band's including Guthrie Govan and Marco Minneman? If so, you're in for a treat. (It'll obviously still be excellent even if they aren't involved)

Unfortunately, Govan & Minneman have both left the Tour. Disappointing I know.

Dave Kilminster is on guitar chores ( figure of speech-one thing it WONT be, is a chore ) and he's a fine player by all accounts.

Hoping they do some back catalogue Porcupine Tree stuff 'thumbs up'

Pretty damn cool that. Personally, I've always wanted a Kombi emblazoned with "Close To The Edge" artwork. What's 'is face. Roger Dean.
