There's one bit where Banks is clearly bemoaning Gabriel writing all the lyrics for "The Lamb" and he says "so we just handed them over to Peter to...." and Gabriel says, jokingly, "...f*ck them up" and everyone laughs. Except Banks, the po-faced twunt.

Gabriel, slightly self deprecating. Banks, without a hint of it.

My brother & me have just finished mixing a track we were working on for a bit, plenty of prog influnces on the go.

Overall, thoroughly enjoyed "Church"

ELP meets Crimson, The Moody Blues and even some Steven Wilson as the riff built up in the final refrain. I heard a bit of Greg Lake in the vocal at times. Lovely subtleties in the understated guitar work.

There was a picture of a Tele in the vid - did I see a Creamery Neck Pickup? Heard a lot about them.

I think overall the production is good, although for me, the snare was not quite bright enough - personal taste and in no way am I knocking it.

I'm a mastering Engineer with a few commercial releases under my belt, and I think it's a solid product, production wise.

Good on you mate !!! PROG IS THE WAY.

I'll ask my brother about the Tele, I played the drums though and agree about the snare. I wasn't around when it was being produced so didn't get a lot of say.

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

Edit - he says his Tele is a maple neck.

I decided to host a school reunion... got my old 'Games' teacher (PE), Maths teacher, Geography teacher  and the Caretaker to bring along some instruments.

Here's the video of the occasion:

Games teacher on guitar (everything was about speed to him)

Maths teacher on drums (refused to ever divide anything by 4 due to musical integrity)

Geography teacher on bass (His geography assignment was to help him locate a hairdresser)

Caretaker on keys (never got off his arse in school, why should he on stage?)
