Just saw that yesterday was 47 years since In the court of the crimson king was released, widely regarding to be the first fully formed prog album.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa was also released on the same day.

I was definitely born in the wrong decade.

Those two albums are indeed classics.

Been getting into Van Der Graaf Generator, any fans on here?

I've only got Pawn Hearts at the moment but am planning to explore further, trying to quickly listen to a 12 minute song while the missus is out the room is proving to be a bit of a problem.

Been getting into this recently, his first solo album from 1975, the opening Solar Musick Suite is fucking brilliant.

My missus is quite glad I've come back to work this week as I was off on holiday last week & this & Crescent by John Coltrane were never off the stereo.

Anybody on here like Hatfield & The North?

I'd never listened to them, mainly because their name is terrible but their guitarist died last week which prompted me to check them out, fucking hell, they were brilliant. I'm going along to the record shop later to buy both their 70s albums (Hatfield & The North & The Rotters' Club).
