That's why I've not been overly disappointed in the performances. Yeah, we've shrunk in the second halves, but tangible chances for the opposition have been few and far between. We showed last year that Rodgers could get the team to play slick football; get that running at the same time as the steel we've seen so far this term, and perhaps the outcome of the season will be a pleasant surprise.

Marriner was good - 9/10 would have given a peno for Wellbeck's dive, at least when Ferguson was there. Today they got what everybody else gets. No wonder they were pissing themselves.

Still early days, but I genuinly think Manu doesn't look like the same team under Moyes. We were struggelig in that second half and looked knackered, but they never really looked threatening. Under Slur they used to be ruthless in such situations.

Fucking love how we grinded the match out. 3 wins in 3 games, 5 points above them cunts, only worry was Johnson hobbling out but other than that, it's all good.

We played a blinder defensively. Skrtel was boss, it's too bad he has not eliminated his brain farts, cause playing like that there are not many better CB's around, i think this might have been his last game for us, and if so what a game to go out on, fantastic today.

 

Just hope everyone comes back from international duty ok now.

God that was a long 95 minutes. Can't fault anyone really, Coutinho and Aspas weren't brilliant, but it was never going to be easy for either of them. The defence was brilliant. Don't know who I would say was the best because they were all great. Gerrard bar a few bad passes was awesome as well. Great performance from the team and the fans were brilliant. Second half wasn't great in an attacking sense, but we reduced them to pretty much fuck all. More performances like that and top 4 will be in reach, no doubt about it.

 

How the fuck is Tom Cleverley playing for them though is baffling. He is absolute mince and a massive dickhead to boot.

Good win but the game showed why we needed another top player out wide, teams will look to stop coutinho and we need another top player to gives teams something else to think about.
