BT broadband

Just ordered my fibre upgrade which bt are in the process of installing into the exchange and cabinets. Signed up to broadband few months back and was a nightmare to get it switched on. The customer service is appalling but since I eventually got it working I've had no issues. The call centres know fuck all but their hubs are reliable.

26 per month is it?

Yeah that's the one. They've estimated I can get 72mb download speed but to call them within 3 days once it's live if I can't. My mate who lives the next street down has ordered his through Sky who say he can only get 38mb so we'll see what happens. If I can only get that I'll ask them to downgrade me to the 40mb limit.

Yes they have 38mb priced up at 23 per month and then 76mb priced at 26 per month which is useful (not)

  • 2 weeks later...

My fibre optic went in today. Sent an engineer round who called me to say he was working on the phone cabinet I was connected to and then drove round to change the phone socket plate and plugged the hub in. Currently getting 68mps download and that's whist downloading a hd movie, streaming xbmc to my telly from my phone, and the wife and boy on iPad and phone respectively. Man, its good to be alive!

Coincidentally my best mate had his installed yesterday through Sky who just sent him a hub to plug in and get on with it. He lives two streets down and is max'ing at 22mbs so there's no complaints from me about the service I've got this time around.
