I'm not too sure to be honest, a more stable club who've done better in the market than we have lately but I think we'd easily be top 4 in Spain

So irrespective of the fact this is another signing to have got away, is there no thread dedicated to the fact the Suarez circus has taken focus away from our lack of 'buying' activity? Think we've spent the grand total of £2m so far, considering money from sales. Even if Suarez stayed and played his heart out we'd still need a good couple of players who can walk into the first 11, none of this 'strengthen the squad' rubbish.

Don't think there has been any official confirmation that he has signed a new deal, and Brendan hasn't exactly been 100% truthful when it comes to the status of transfer deals so far this summer. Not saying I think it will happen mind you, just that I'm not convinced the deal is totally dead yet.
